All construction and assembly drawings, necessary for the construction of the new vessel, are developed starting from basic design. A 3D modelling of all components and structure accessories is developed by means of a dedicated software, hence the drawing
for the shaping of pieces to be cut by numeric control machines are edited for each piece.
Pieces are then split by thickness and a file (nesting) for the automatic cut of pieces at numeric control is expounded in order to
minimize offcuts of raw materials. Drawings for the assembly and installation of each pieces and components are developed for each stage of the whole construction. Lists of all required materials are supplied.
Plant drawings are developed by operating principals (P&ID).
Coordination drawings of pipes or ducts comprising all plants on board, therefore, also in this case, sketch pipes are drawn up for each single pipe and all the pipelines of
the whole zone. The Outfitting and Installation drawings of all operating plants (steering gears, propulsion propellers, thrusters, mooring gear, fire extinguishing plant, sludge treatment, bilge system, air conditioning and heating plant)
are drafted and developed according to the recommendations of the Suppliers (project guide). Subsequently the list of required materials (pipes and ducts) are edited by type and section, including the list of valves and pumps with relevant
features.
As regards the Electrical side, the layout and routing of cables is defined according to the plants and structures of each part of the vessel. The development, definition of type and class of electric cables of each single plant is defined taking into due consideration Rules and Regulations to be applied. Subsequently the list of required electric cables are edited by type and section diameter.
Development of Steelwork drawings with relevant nesting (drawing of each single component) and assembly drawings.
All the single components of interior and external design of each area are defined and developed in detail according to the layout of General Arrangement Plans and the shapes defined by the concept design, through the development of a 3D model. Colors, materials, features and type of materials to be used for the furniture, the outfitting of cabins, external areas or public areas are defined at a second stage.
